Scholarships
Each year The Tamburitzans award scholarships to undergraduate students who perform with the ensemble. These are funded by donations to our endowment funds and through various fundraisers throughout the performance season.
Create your own named-endowed scholarship
The Tamburitzans have a wonderful community of supporters from alumni to family-members of performers and lovers of folk arts who want to support our students. Many of these supporters have created their own named-endowed scholarship fund. Students who attend Pittsburgh-based Universities
In 2016, The Tamburitzans began to welcome student performers from universities throughout the city of Pittsburgh. In 2023, The Tamburitzans announced a new scholarship award for these students. The General Scholarship Fund is for our current student performers attending Pittsburgh-based Universities.

Students who attend Duquesne University
Over 8 decades ago passionate and prominent individuals created an Endowed Scholarship Fund for the Tamburitzans at Duquesne University. That fund now boasts over six million dollars which provides over $200,000 in scholarship annually to our Duquesne University Tamburitzan students.
