Lorain High School
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, The Tamburitzans will bring their vibrant performance to Lorain High School for an afternoon of music, dance, and celebration. Now in our 89th season, we are thrilled to share the stage in partnership with the Lorain Historical Society and Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 136, honoring the city’s proud heritage. With dazzling costumes, dynamic choreography, and live music, The Tamburitzans continue to captivate audiences as America’s longest-running multicultural performing company.
Lorain is a community with fierce Croatian roots and a deep respect for tambura music, making this performance especially meaningful. Audiences will be treated to cultural traditions from Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, Romania, Ireland, and Bulgaria, brought to life with unmatched artistry and energy. The show will open with something truly special: an original orchestral piece by contemporary composer Peter Kosovec, sure to resonate with Lorain’s passionate music lovers and set the stage for an unforgettable afternoon.
What makes The Tamburitzans remarkable is that our world-class musicians and dancers are also full-time students. By day, they pursue studies in fields such as nursing, medicine, business, and education; by night and weekend, they perform across the country, thrilling audiences with their skill and passion. This balance of academic ambition and artistic excellence gives every performance an inspiring edge—one that celebrates not only culture and tradition, but also the future of these young performers.
