George "Butch" Kresovich

Artistic Director


George “Butch” Kresovich was a member of the Tamburitzans from 1976 –1980 and received a full 4-year scholarship to Duquesne University. He has been the Artistic Director of the ensemble since January of 2015. Prior to this, Butch has amassed three decades of extensive, versatile experience in the entertainment/arts industry with a proven track record of success as a producer, performer, and entertainment business professional. During much of his career, he was employed by the Walt Disney Company, first as a staff member, and then contracted as an independent show producer through his co-owned production company which also serviced many large entertainment venues, hotels, and agencies in Central Florida and across the globe. During his career he has appeared on numerous national broadcasts, commercial recordings, and on stage with prominent artists of domestic and international fame. Butch’s lifelong dedication to music, entertainment and Slavic culture has garnered numerous awards, including his induction into the Tamburitza Association of America’s Hall of Fame.  The culmination of these cultural, commercial, and team-building experiences has nurtured Butch’s insight into his work which includes the staging and creation of the Tamburitzans’ productions. His unwavering support of their mission he considers a labor of love.
