Dr. James Weber

James (Jim) Weber retired in 2025 after 32 years as a Professor of Business Ethics and Management in the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University and during his last five years held the Rev. Martin Hehir, C.S.Sp. Endowed Chair in Scholarly Excellence. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh and taught at the University of San Francisco, University of Pittsburgh, and Marquette University before coming to Duquesne University in 1993.

In addition to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Duquesne, he was the Director of the Beard Center for Leadership in Ethics for 15 years and was involved in developing ethics training seminars for more than 70 business and community organizations focusing on critical ethical issues in business. He published in dozens of academic journals and co-authored multiple editions of the globally adopted textbook Business and Society: Stakeholders, Ethics, Public Policy, published by McGraw-Hill/Irwin, Inc.
