Paul E. Block

Advisory Board Member


Paul Block has 35 years of experience in non-profit, financial planning arenas with experience in the nonprofit and individual income tax, retirement, estate, charitable and investment planning. He is currently self-employed and formerly the Manager of the Tax Dept. of Albanese Sinchar Smith & Co., a CPA firm. Prior to that affiliation, Paul was with Baker Tilly – formerly ParenteBeard / McCrory & McDowell, BDO LLC, formerly, Alpern Rosenthal and I was with Deloitte Tax LLP’s International Assignment Services and Private Client Advisors Groups.

Paul holds degrees in Law from Duquesne Univ. School of Law, a Masters in Taxation from Robert Morris University, and a Master's in Business Administration from Duquesne University in addition to his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College. Paul is also well known in the Pittsburgh Arts and Not for Profit scene, with connections to Humane Animal Rescue, Service Coordination Unlimited, Inc. (SCU), The Bach Choir of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Schweitzer Fellowship Program, Chatham Baroque, P.O.W.E.R. – PA Opportunity for Women in Early Recovery, WQED, and The Pittsburgh CLO Theatre Guild – fundraising arm to the Pittsburgh CLO (Civic Light Opera).
