The Tamburitzans (formerly “Duquesne University Tamburitzans”) are seeking talented vocalists, musicians and dancers who want to become part of Pittsburgh’s enduring and endearing cultural treasure! All students who currently are high school seniors or graduates, as well as students enrolled in any local college or university, are eligible to audition for a spot in America’s longest-running live stage show. YES – in addition to Duquesne University students, the “Tammies” now accept students currently attending (or planning to attend) any Pittsburgh-area college or university, including graduate studies. Substantial scholarship funding is available to qualifying students.
The Tamburitzans stage production includes both traditional and contemporary styles; applicants do not need previous folk arts performing experience to audition for a position in the ensemble. General auditions for the 2017-18 season production will be held at the Tamburitzans Administration Building (TAB – located at 1801 Boulevard of the Allies in Pittsburgh, PA 15219) beginning Wednesday February 8, 2017, so call 412-224-2071 soon to schedule your audition.
